Welcome to YORK REGION ABUSE PROGRAM
York Region Abuse Program (YRAP) is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to eliminating abuse and the barriers associated with abuse. YRAP offers hope and healing to people of all ages affected by childhood sexual abuse and our services are founded on the belief that the community must work together to end childhood sexual abuse.
YRAP is the only agency offering specific treatment for childhood sexual abuse in York Region. All treatment services are provided at no charge to the residents of York Region and surrounding northern areas without like services.
York Region Abuse Program leads by providing a unique and holistic approach to prevention, therapy, education and advocacy to end childhood sexual abuse. We provide inclusive services to people of all identities and experiences. This includes individuals who are differently-abled and/or those from all social, economic, racialized, ethnic and religious backgrounds, as well as those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, two spirit and heterosexual.
Everyone has the right to live free from childhood sexual abuse.
